I enjoy looking at the world in practical but whimsical ways. As a result, I create work inspired by my surroundings. I love when mark making does most of the work through subtle pattern and repetition, creating visual motion. I love seeing how far I can push materials to their limits and exploring what they are capable of. Being very experimental in my practice and keeping viewers on their toes is my favorite form of art.

Harley Kyung Silva is an artist based out of Massachusetts. She received a BFA with a concentration in sculpture at Bridgewater State University. Harley received Best in Show with her work "Repetition" at Bridgewater State University's 55th Annual Student Art exhibit this past April 2019. During the day Harley is a carpentry and visual arts teacher at a therapeutic day school in Plymouth, MA. At night and on weekends, she is currently an artist at the Kilburn Mill at Clarks Cove in New Bedford where she spends most of her time creating in a studio space. Harley is also an artist member at IMAGO Foundations for the Arts in Warren, RI.
